Getas-Petrogeo srl, as the organization is now styled, is a private independent company providing consultancy and engineering services in the fields of geology, geo-hydrology, geothermics, geotechnics and environment, in Italy and abroad.

Getas-Petrogeo srl is run by a Board of Directors consisting of Giuseppe Ghezzi, Managing Director, Roberto Ghezzi, Paolo Ghezzi and Massimo Pellegrini, Technical Coordinators.

Getas-Petrogeo srl has a permanent staff of 12 experts (geologists, hydraulic engineers and hydrogeologists) and technicians supplemented, as and when necessary, by a sizeable force of professionals engaged for specific assignments. The firm is associated with other organizations having expertise in specific sectors.

Getas-Petrogeo srl, as contractors, has provided services in Italy for various Public Authorities, research institutions and private clients, and, as sub-contractor, in international projects for private clients, governments (such as those of Burma, Egypt, El Salvador, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Libya, Tunisia, Mauritania, Mexico, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Somaliland, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela, Zambia, Jordan) and international agencies (such as the World Bank, the United Nations, the European Development Found, the Asia Development Bank, the Commission of European Community).

Nowadays Getas-Petrogeo srl is an Italian leading consultancy specialised in the sectors of water, environment, and geo-engineering. Since 1997 the firm is awarded the internationally recognized quality certification UNI EN ISO 9001, extended to certification UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 for the following products or services: "Consultancy and design in the field of civil, hydraulic, and geotechnical engineering".
